The one month wall

A few of the other volunteers told that people generally get very homesick at the month mark.  I've been in Africa for one month and 4 days.

BAM!

It hit me.  Happy here - but its hard sometimes.  Feels weird to be 28 and admit I'm homesick, but hey its the truth.  I try to remind myself I'm not on vacation here.  Not everything in life should be easy.

My cousin Dave Maestri is randomly going to be in Kampala this Thursday.  Freak coincidence. It'll be good to see a familiar face.  He's going to be part of a group traveling to Gulu to distribute mosquito nets.  I'm excited to see him.
